Two Village Revenue Officers (VROs) were injured after they were allegedly attacked by the members of sand mafia at Naira in Srikakulam Rural mandal in the wee hours of Wednesday. Acting on a tip-off that sand was being transported by trucks illegally, a group of six officials including the two VROs reached Naira. The injured VROs were identified as P. Chandrasekhar and B.V.R. They shifted the injured VROs to Srikakulam government hospital. Chakradhar Babu, visited the hospital and spoke to the injured VROs.
