A man died after two trains collided at low speed in Wales on Monday evening, police have said. A further 15 people were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing, police said. The crash happened near Llanbrynmair, between Shrewsbury and Machynlleth, at about 7.30pm on Monday, authorities said. A joint statement from Network Rail and Transport for Wales said it involved the 6.31pm service from Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth and the 7.09pm service from Machynlleth to Shrewsbury.
