more-inTwo activists of the SDPI were arrested by the Thiruvananthapuram Rural police on Tuesday for allegedly attacking a CPI(M) worker a few days ago. They have been accused of assaulting CPI(M) worker Sasikumar, while he was on his way to distribute newspapers in Kattakkada early on Sunday. Series of attacksThe police said that the attack was part of the series of retaliatory attacks that followed the vandalism of DYFI district secretary I. Saju’s house at Kottapuram, near Kattakkada. Sasikumar was brutally attacked, a day after Al Ameen’s relative was allegedly assaulted by a group of CPI(M) workers. Meanwhile, the police have taken three CPI (M) activists into custody in connection with the assault on Al Ameen’s relative.
