Police from Mundelein, firefighters and paramedics from Countryside Fire Protection District responded about 3:25 a.m. Sunday, August 7, 2022 to a report that two people were trapped on the second floor in a house fire in the block of 21800 West Route 60 Mundelein. Firefighters, paramedics, investigators and/or command officers from Grayslake, Gurnee, Highland Park, Lake Zurich, Libertyville, North Chicago, and Round Lake were assigned to the fire scene. Firefighters, paramedics and/or command officers from Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, and Palatine were assigned to stand by in Mundelein fire stations.
