Otago Boys' High School has continued its dominance of Dunedin secondary school basketball after winning both semifinals of the boys' competition on Friday. Its two teams, the Blues and Whites, will meet in next week's final, while St Hilda's Collegiate and Otago Girls' High School will play for the girls' title. There was little between the teams most of the way, but Otago Boys' were dominant throughout the extra period. In the earlier semifinal Otago Boys' White claimed a dominant 93-58 win over Waitaki Boys' High School. That lead was cut to two going into the final quarter, but Otago Girls' was able to hold on for the win.
