(CNN) The two Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies involved in the shooting death of 18-year-old Andres Guardado in June have been relieved of duties in response to an unrelated traffic investigation, the department announced in a Friday statement. CNN contacted the LA County Sheriff's Department to obtain details about the April incident. CNN also reached out to the LA County District Attorney and to the LA office of the FBI but received no response. At this time, I cannot add anything in addition to what has already been announced by the Sheriff's Department." Two detectives from LA County Sheriff's homicide bureau took the stand, but invoked their constitutional right not to testify.
