JOHOR BARU: The second series of the 2016 Auditor General’s Report indicated that two Johor land offices had under-performed on processing Temporary Occupation License applications, with a backlog dating more than nine years. The report proposed that the state government monitor the resolution of the TOL application backlog by updating the database and increasing more enforcement operations to eliminate trespassing and land encroachment in the two districts. It however noted that three projects under the Bio Desaru development were falling behind progress as they were inactive. On the overall performance of the state financial standings in 2016, the report indicated a steady growth and improvement. These comprise the Kota Tinggi Municipal Council, Pasir Gudang Municipal Council, Johor Economic Development Corporation, and Johor Islamic Corporation, among others.
