Acting Proctor M Amjad Ali said the bodies of first-year students of economics department Abrar Nirjhar and Ahmed Hasan were recovered on Tuesday afternoon. He said 14 economics department students went to Dohar on a trip. They went for a swim on the river when the two went missing. Police said the Fire Service was informed when their classmates along with the locals had failed to trace them. “Fire Service divers recovered the bodies around 5pm,” said Dohar police’s Sub-Inspector Md Jakirul Islam.
