The death toll from massive fire has now risen to 69. Sohag, 25, who had suffered sixty percent burns on his body, died on 1:30am Tuesday, Samonta Lal Sen, the coordinator of the burn unit, told bdnews24.com. Before that, 55-year-old Anwar Hossain, who was also at the ICU, died around 10:20pm Monday. The two were among nine burn victims admitted to the hospital after a massive fire razed the five buildings of the congested Churihatta neighbourhood in Old Dhaka last week. The bodies of 48 victims of the blaze were handed over to their families by the Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s forensic department.
