She added that embassy officials in Nairobi, Kenya, “are in contact with local authorities to gather additional information.”Two Canadian citizens have been detained in Somalia, Global Affairs Canada says. Fletcher would not provide more information about the circumstances of the detainment or the identities of two people, citing the Privacy Act.
