Two Bruneians in Wuhan safely evacuated


BRUNEI DARUSSALAM (Borneo Bulletin/ANN): A Bruneian tourist and a student evacuated from Wuhan, Hubei Province in China arrived in the country on Saturday (Feb 8) and are reportedly in good health and have been placed at the National Isolation Centre for 14 days as a precautionary measure. The evacuation process began on Feb 7 using a Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) aircraft with collaboration from RB, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in the People’s Republic of China and the Civil Aviation Department. The Ministry of Health stated in a release that the RB aircraft left Brunei International Airport at 4.52pm on Friday. The aircraft carrying the two Bruneians arrived in the country at 2.45am on Saturday. Both were sent to the National Isolation Centre for further observation and checkups.
