The raid followed complaints that pubs in the venue allowed students and other underage drinkers. There are about 10 pubs operating in the area. Officials blocked the venue entrance to prevent patrons from leaving, but some teenagers were seen climbing the wall to escape. The officials found that Chic Bar and Climax pub had 15 drinkers under 20 years old and 14 drinkers who carried no identification card. Sahakan said he had received complaints that the venue was operating near students’ boarding houses and a university.
