Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, says social media giant, Twitter, should hold presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu; and Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed accountable for a controversial ‘civil war’ post on the President’s verified handle on Tuesday. Buhari had tweeted, “Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. His critics subsequently reported the tweet to Twitter and the microblogging site later deleted the post with a comment, “This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules”. Twitter should rather hold Garba Shehu, Lie Mohammad and co (others) accountable. Regrettably, Twitter may not know that Buhari is not the one operating the handle.”
