The social media platform increased the max size for GIF on it's web app, though the smartphone app remains unchanged. The company today patched their platform to support larger GIFs on web upto 15MB. In fact, even Twitter-owned Vine app earlier increased its 6-second limit to 140 seconds. Hang onto your hats folks, Twitter is either about to get really entertaining or really annoying. While there was no announcement, the update is visible on the Twitter help page saying, "Photos can be up to 5MB; animated GIFs can be up to 5MB on mobile, and up to 15MB on web."
