Could not subscribe, try again later Invalid EmailIf you use Twitter for Android , you’re probably used to seeing black crosses or question-marks in place of some emojis on the platform. But thankfully, an update today means that you’ll no longer be plagued by missing characters. Users on Android 7.x or below will now see Twemoji - Twitter’s own emoji in place of native emojis previously shown from other platform vendors, such as Google and Samsung. Twitter Design Lead Bryan Haggerty confirmed to Emojipedia that at least 50 per cent of eligible Twitter users should now see this change, with the feature being enabled for more users over the course of this week. If you want to stick with the native emoji set, you can disable the new feature.
