A fugitive found naked up a tree in a crocodile-infested waterway was on bail facing assault and deprivation of liberty charges when he was rescued by two crab fishermen. Mr Joiner and Mr Faust told Daily Mail Australia the escapee informed them he had 'been here four days and I've been living on snails'. Mr Joiner and Mr Faust said they only heard the lucky man's desperate cries when they stopped to drop their crab pots nearby. 'When we got close we could see he was covered in mud and bites and his feet were swollen.'
