Natya & Stem Dance Kampni present Chhandam Dance Company & Fadadance, Canada on February 2. The event will feature Bardo – choreographed by Joanna De Souza and Misty Wensel with original music by Ian De Souza and Santosh Naidu. Bardo is the first in the series of Kampni Kutcheri-2018 and will feature nine dancers and three musicians. The production also features solo, duet, quartet, and full-group explorations of Kathak and contemporary dance, explains Joanna, a Kathak exponent who also teaches the classical dance form in her country. She reveals that she had “absolutely no difficulty in taking to the form or lyrics.” Joanna adds that she can even narrate a few ‘thumris’ and ‘shlokas’.
