After a record number of nominations from hockey communities across the country, Twillingate was crowned Kraft Hockeyville 2020. Twillingate Mayor Grant White was among friends and family when the announcement was made Saturday night. Mayor Grant White says the arena is a key focal point of community life in Twillingate. "It's just a place where we go and socialize, the George Hawkins arena means so much to every resident," said White.
