more-inThoothukudiTwelve tonnes of red sanders logs were seized by the sleuths of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), Thoothukudi, on Thursday. Based on a tip-off, the DRI sleuths seized the red sanders logs which were concealed in a container vessel embarked from Kattupalli Port and was about to sail to Jebel Ali Port, UAE. The bill of landing mentioned that the consignor was in Bengaluru and declared the cargo automobile parts, DRI sources said. A tonne of red sanders was worth ₹40 lakh, the sources added.
