Firefighters are working to extinguish a tussock fire at St Kilda beach, thought to be caused by fireworks. Two engines are in attendance near the St Kilda Surf Life Saving Club on John Wilson Ocean Drive. A Fire and Emergency spokeswoman said people had been seen letting off fireworks in the area earlier tonight. John Wilson Ocean Drive is closed while firefighters are in attendance.
