Their visitors Marlborough are an interesting mix of power and pace, with their huge, hulking forward pack capable of bulldozing their way through the best defences in the league. The missed conversion was a let off for Maids, but Marlborough had shown they hadn’t come to simply make up the numbers. Maids have allowed bigger leads to slip at Braywick Park this season, but they never looked like losing their heads against Marlborough. A fourth try for Turton with around 10 minutes to play put the game firmly to bed.
