Marlborough Mayor John Leggett speaks to a crowd of around 250 people at Seymour Square on June 14 for the Stop Three Waters roadshow. A roadshow campaigning against the Government’s Three Waters reforms drew a bigger turnout in Blenheim than in Christchurch, organisers say. Around 250 people turned out in Seymour Square on Tuesday for the Stop Three Waters roadshow, organised by activist group, the New Zealand Taxpayers' Union. He said his group’s key message was directed at the Members of Parliament who were part of the Three Waters Reform Programme select committee. Houlbrooke thought Thursday’s turnout at Seymour Square had been “amazing,” compared to other South Island crowds.
