ETHIOPIATurkey’s aid agency, ‘Turkiye Diyanet Foundation’ (TDV), distributed 3,500 food parcels to refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Ethiopia’s Afar and Oromia states Monday during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Aid recipient, Tayyibe Ahmed, receives help from TDV every Ramadan and said she is thankful to the Turkish people. These basic food materials will help us at least two to three months,” she said. TDV will distribute food to more than 100,000 families in need, and will organize fast-breaking meals, of iftar, for nearly 200,000 people in 98 countries. The organization will also provide clothing to more than 10,000 children from Bangladesh, Chad, Palestine, Niger, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
