Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that rival Middle Eastern forces will visit Saudi Arabia next month to ease tensions following the 2018 assassination of a prominent Saudi journalist in Istanbul. “He promised, and I will visit Saudi Arabia in February,” Erdogan said, referring explicitly to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto ruler of the kingdom. Mr Erdogan and the Saudi Crown Prince have been meeting for several weeks, people familiar with the effort said.
