Turkey’s Culture and Tourism Numan Kurtulmus has said his country will take measures to repatriate Rohingya refugees who are currently in Bangladesh fleeing Myanmar army’s crackdown in their native Rakhine state. Kurtulmus, also the former Turkish deputy prime minister, also said his country will stand beside Bangladesh to help resolve the Rohingya issue. The Turkish minister made the comments while talking to reporters after visiting the Kutupalong Refugee Camp in Ukhiya upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday afternoon. Maya said Kurtulmus had assured him of constructing 20,000-25,000 shelter homes for around 100,000 Rohingya refugees.
