Tunisia hotels aim to maintain stability during the Covid-19 pandemic

AdvertisementsAccording to STR data, majority of the hotels in Tunisia are Upper Middle Class at 26.8% and 18.6% Middle class. When asked about the impact of Covid19 pandemic on the hotels in Tunisia, Kevin Dyck responded that “many of the large resort hotels have shut down along the Tunisian tourist coastal zones that are used to high numbers of tourists during the summer months. The graph above is remarkable since the revenue was the lowest in 2016 compared to negative impact of Covid-19 pandemic in 2020. Similar to other countries, Tunisia is open to international travelers but requires the travelers to show a proof of Covid-19 vaccination. Additionally, hotels should not increase their room rates during this new wave of the Covid-19 pandemic or the next few years.
