Tunisia’s national carrier, Tunisair, will, in February, cut up to 400 jobs as part of the restructuring plan already in execution, Tunis Webdo reports. The carrier currently employs 8,000 people. It aims to shred 1,200 jobs over three years. The company has reportedly reached an agreement with the country’s powerful workers union, UGTT, to identify the surplus positions. The airline currently operates 29 aircrafts connecting its Tunis hub with 101 other destinations.
