Azimio leader Raila Odinga has said Tuesday's mass protests will begin at 6am. Raila reiterated that they have a right to hold their demonstrations amid warning from government, noting that the Constitution has not been suspended. Raila reaffirmed that the demos will be peaceful, allaying fears by the government and police that the protests will not be allowed for fear of chaos and violence. Gabow said the recent Azimio protests have been characterised by criminal incidents including arson, robbery, looting, injury to officers and even death. In his statement, Raila said it was ironical for police to decide in advance that there was going to be violence on Tuesday.
