In his review for NDTV titled "Salman Khan is the Worst Thing About Tubelight," Raja Sen writes that he had a hard time watching Salman, and that it was the other Khan brother who stood out in his opinion. Tubelight is a Salman Khan film that kept me longing to have Sohail back on screen, and those are words I'd never thought I'd type," Mr Sen wrote. Based on the Hollywood box office flop Little Boy and produced by Salman Khan together with director Kabir Khan, Tubelight also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu and eight-year-old Matin Rey Tangu, and features Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo.
