Tubberclair group awarded €6,000 for biodiversity projectTubberclair Local Action Group has welcomed the awarding of a €6,000 biodiversity grant which will support the development of the area’s first biodiversity plan. The funding, awarded under the Biodiversity Fund 2025 by Community Foundation Ireland, will allow the group to engage an ecologist to assess and map local habitats and recommend actions to enhance biodiversity across the area. The aim is to create a Community Biodiversity Action Plan for Tubberclair, uniting locals and partners to restore habitats, enhance green spaces, and support wellbeing while advancing Ireland’s biodiversity and climate goals. To date, Tubberclair has not had a formal biodiversity plan in place. A spokesperson for Tubberclair Local Action Group said: "This funding is a very welcome step forward for Tubberclair.
