From Tribune staff reportsTRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce held the annual Toast of the Town: Celebrating Trussville’s Best event on Monday night. Festivities began at 5:30 p.m. at Corbeau Wine Bar in the Trussville Entertainment District. Chamber president David Moore presented the prestigious Gatekeeper Award to Taylor Burt and the Gatekeeper Award for a group to Amy Peterson O’Brien of the Cahaba Homestead Heritage Foundation. Hewitt-Trussville softball is one of 12 Nike elite programs in the United States. Drew Lolley, last year’s winner, present O’Brien with her award.
