Like his predecessor, President Donald Trump seized on a go-it-alone strategy for fast-tracking his agenda. Governing by executive action may appear easier and faster, but it carries its own legal and political risks. This time, with full control of the White House and Congress, Republicans have been largely muted in their assessments of Trump's executive actions. Even members of Trump's own party have distanced themselves from the rollout of his executive orders on immigration. His executive orders got struck down by the court.
