In setting the terms of the tariffs, Trump did one thing right by beer drinkers and two things wrong. “We are concerned about the steel tariff equally to the tariff on the aluminum,” says Brewers Association (BA) President Bob Pease several hours after the signing ceremony. So if the BA is equally concerned about both tariffs, brewers of all sizes may soon be staring down some big financial problems. “This is an issue that hits all beer, not craft beer or big beer,” Pease says.
