One of President-elect Donald Trump’s possible choices to fill the vacancy in the Supreme Court of the United States is a judge whose career is marked with anti-LGBT acts. William H. Pryor, Jr., is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta. His name has been mentioned as one of multiple potential nominees for the SCOTUS seat. In 2003, he argued to uphold Texas’ law criminalizing consensual LGBT sex, RawStory noted. “This Court has never recognized a fundamental right to engage in sexual activity outside of monogamous heterosexual marriage, let alone to engage in homosexual sodomy,” Pryor wrote in his brief.
