Washington (CNN) President Donald Trump on Saturday said it was "inappropriate" for the former USS Theodore Roosevelt commander to widely send a letter warning that action was needed to save the lives of his crew from an outbreak of coronavirus aboard the aircraft carrier. "I thought it was terrible what he did, to write a letter. This is a captain of a massive ship that's nuclear powered, and he shouldn't be talking that way in a letter. He could call and ask and suggest," Trump told reporters Saturday during a White House briefing on coronavirus. Trump added, "I thought it looked terrible, to be honest with you."
