NEW YORK — Former President Donald Trump said he will not testify on Monday at his civil fraud trial in New York City. “President Trump has already testified,” Trump attorney Chris Kise said in a statement. He will be followed by several rebuttal witnesses called by the lawyers for New York State Attorney General Letitia James. James has asked the court to fine Trump $250 million and be permanently barred from operating businesses in New York, the Times reported. Had he testified, Trump would have been operating under a gag order imposed by Engoron barring comments about the judge’s staff, according to CNN.
