President Trump on Thursday called on Congress to help protect American consumers from unexpectedly large medical bills after they go to the hospital. “My administration is eager to work with both parties” to tame medical bills, Trump said. The top Democrat and Republican on the House Energy and Commerce Committee said they also are developing bipartisan legislation to address the issue of surprise medical bills.
