Trump also repeated his often-cited statistic that black unemployment is the lowest in U.S. history. Thank you also to Chance and Dr. Darrell Scott, they really get it (lowest Black & Hispanic unemployment in history). Black unemployment in December was at its lowest since the Labor Department began tracking the data, but has risen slightly since then. Chance the Rapper went on Twitter later Wednesday to bolster West, writing that “Black people don’t have to be democrats.” Chance had been highly critical of Trump in the past.
