Among the 37 countries Pew surveyed, Trump scored higher marks than his predecessor, President Barack Obama, in only two: Russia and Israel. Trump may also seek to use Poland as an exemplar of partnership. Poland is also host to about 1,000 U.S. troops, and is supporting U.S. and NATO forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Trump, too, has been working to curb refugee admissions to the U.S. as part of his travel ban.
