One of President Trump's most loyal demographic groups set aside Thursday to mark the National Day of Prayer. Trump’s evangelical supporters often credit him with elevating the profile of religious conservatives in a way that they say President Barack Obama did not. While some white evangelicals likely view the move as confirmation that they made the right choice in 2016, others are increasingly being tested by Trump. The white evangelicals least tolerant of Trump appear to be women. Republicans do not risk losing white evangelicals as a whole to Democrats.
