But even before becoming president, aides reported that Trump had considered a military parade to mark his inauguration. The White House claimed Trump was joking. Military veteran and Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth also fired back at Trump, while lampooning his deferments from medical military service during the Vietnam War.
