(Reuters) New Delhi, Jan. 13: The business partner of the former British intelligence official identified as the author of a dossier claiming Russian leverage over US President-elect Donald Trump worked at the UK mission in New Delhi - six years after a fellow agent had named him a spy. But Burrows's stint at the British high commission in New Delhi came six years after he was among 116 named by a disgruntled British intelligence official, Richard Tomlinson, as MI6 agents. According to Tomlinson's list, Burrows was actually a spy who had undertaken missions for the MI6 in East Berlin in 1982, in Bonn in 1987 and in Athens in 1993. Then British foreign secretary Robin Cook called the list "potentially dangerous to the people who have worked in the service". That major countries embed intelligence officials in their overseas missions under a diplomatic cover is no secret.
