Trump defrauded investors in marketing scheme, lawsuit says

(Jabin Botsford/The Washington Post)Four anonymous plaintiffs filed a lawsuit against President Trump, his business and his three eldest children in federal court Monday, alleging that the Trumps helped promote fraudulent investments that duped investors. Two other defendants, his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, now run the company. Plaintiffs allege that the company did not intend for the investors to make money. And last week, in another case, a federal judge appeared skeptical of the Trump Foundation’s spending, which plaintiffs allege was not for charitable purposes.
