President Donald Trump on Saturday deflected questions about whether Alabama Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore should drop out of the race because of sexual misconduct allegations against him. Trump, who has been travelling in Asia, said he’s been too busy reading documents and hasn’t had time to catch up on television news coverage about Moore. After Moore defeated Strange, Trump pledged to campaign for Moore. Republican senators, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., have said Moore should step aside if the reports are true. Trump suggested he would have more to say on the matter after he returns to the White House next week.
