From early to mid-March, positive views of Trump’s tweets increased for each group, including a big jump among Democrats. Sure, the 14-day average of views of his tweets from Democrats was still mostly negative, but it was notably less negative. The downward turn in his two-week average began April 12 — Easter, the day Trump once posited could herald a return to normal after the pandemic. Several of those tweets are in the bottom quarter of the tweets that Trump has offered as president and scored particularly poorly among independents.
