The chaotic scenes unfolded soon after Trump addressed thousands of protesters and urged his supporters to march to the Capitol. As footage started coming out of Capitol Hill being breached by angry Trump supporters, Donald Trump Jr tried to quell the outburst with a tweet – that was critical of Democrats and liberals. 'I like many people voted for President Trump in the 2020 election and hoped for a different result,' McCaul wrote. Several hundred Trump supporters also staged a 'Stop the Steal' rally at the Arizona state Capitol in Phoenix, cheering and jeering while exhibiting a guillotine. 'They've used the pandemic as a way of defrauding the people in a proper election,' Trump said.
