President Donald Trump on Sunday returned to rallying his base by continuing to insist that Mexico will pay for his proposed border wall, after last week threatening a government shutdown if funding for the barrier isn’t provided in the U.S. budget. “Mexico will pay for it through reimbursement/other,” he said on Twitter, reiterating a claim he made earlier this year when he all but admitted that U.S. taxpayers would have to fund the wall if it were to move forward.
