The president has abandoned the White House briefing room, and so should journalists--at least until somebody shows up who's willing to answer questions. The briefing room stayed in place, Trump and his administration simply treat it as if it's far, far away. Andrew Beatty, White House correspondent for Agence France Presse, tweeted a photo of the briefing room Wednesday night, noting that its silence spoke volumes:So strange. If Trump remains in hiding, he could always re-purpose the briefing room, which was built over the original White House pool. Perhaps swimming laps would get him into the briefing room.
