President Donald Trump has bestowed a royal nickname on himself: The Tariff King. “I’m the tariff king and the tariff king has done a great job,” Trump pronounced Friday at a White House event on rural health care. He used the monarchal moniker while talking about using the threat of tariffs on other countries in an effort to bring pharmaceutical costs down in the United States. The remark also came minutes after the president declared that he “may” use tariffs to punish countries opposing his attempts to take control of Greenland.
