In a speech watched by Ms Thunberg, 17, Mr Trump urged executives and ministers to dismiss “predictions of the apocalypse” as the United States joined an initiative to plant, restore or conserve one trillion trees. Soon after his special address at the World Economic Forum in Davos, however, Ms Thunberg hit back by attacking global “inaction” on climate change which she warned is “fuelling the flames by the hour”.
